  • This picture isn't perfect... but it was to funny to me not to share. It was 29º and windy, the snow was blasting into my face (it hurt!). My pockets were stuffed full of hand warmers, and still...it was not enough! As I was on my way back down to the trailhead I passed a gal sporting nothing but her sports bra, packing just a blanket. I couldn't help but think "there's other girl's... then there's ME!" 🤓

  • Something in your life will always be a little broken, there will always be something negative you can focus on and wine about. There will always be something that COULD get you down. ✨ There will always be something to be grateful for, something positive that you can focus on and praise God for. There will always be something that COULD bring joy to your day. ✨ There will ALWAYS be SOMEONE there to heal your brokenness, who will always be the most positive part of life forever. Who brings joy the moment we are truly aware of who He is. Being aware of His promises, love, presence brings immediate wonder and hope. ✨ Today everyone is talking about “choosing positivity” or “choosing joy”. I choose to be positive about what the Lord has given me and joyful in Jesus, who’s Spirit never leaves me. ✨ Some days are harder than others, and brokenness is CONSUMING this world if you couldn’t tell! So for those of you fighting through life today, I hope this can be a reminder to set your mind and focus on Jesus. The little blessings you receive and the eternal blessing He has promised.✨ . . . . #goodnews #choosejoy #positivevibes #exploremore #wondermore #adventure_culture #downtowncolumbus #columbusohiophotographer #unconventionaltogs

  • Antarctica, close to the South Pole. We were nearing the end of our expedition and nearing the South Pole. The three trucks in shot are all made and driven by Arctictrucks, they are made in Iceland and driven by incredibly talented Icelandic mechanics, hence the flag! The one on the left was our support vehicle and the two on the right had been supporting the Walking with the Wounded expedition that Prince Harry had joined to the South Pole. ⁣ ⁣ We had to link up with them to transfer fuel to the barrels on the back of our truck. Each of these trucks has been converted to run off jet fuel as that is what is most readily available in Antarctica. ⁣ ⁣ As well as the fuel they had some bacon left over from the party the Walking with the Wounded had had at the South Pole. It was the best I have tasted by a long way!

  • Nobody knows how old Petra is, but it was a thriving city when Abraham left Ur of the Chaldees, and for a full five thousand years it has had but that one entrance, through a gorge that narrows finally until only one loaded camel at a time can pass. Army after army down the centuries have tried to storm the place, and failed, so that even the invincible Alexander and the Romans had to fall back on the arts of friendship to obtain the key. We, the last invaders, came as friends, if only Grim could persuade the tyrant to believe it. The sun rose over the city just as we reached the narrowest part of the gut, Grim leading, and its first rays showed that we were using the bed of a watercourse for a road. Exactly in front of us, glimpsed through a twelve-foot gap between cliffs six hundred feet high, was a sight worth going twice that distance, running twice that risk, to see—a rose-red temple front, carved out of the solid valley wall and glistening in the opalescent hues of morning. Not even Burkhardt, who was the first civilized man to see the place in a thousand years, described that temple properly; because you can’t. It is huge—majestic—silent—empty—aglow with all the prism colors in the morning sun. And it seems to think.
