Marcus Rashford is enduring probably his best time at Man United since making senior debut 3 years ago.
The 21-year-old scored four goals since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s arrival at Old Trafford, including a match-winner against the Spurs on Sunday.
Now, the club are reportedly ready to offer Rashford a new £150,000-a-week deal to shrug off Real Madrid and Juventus' interest in the forward.
Manchester United want to offer Marcus Rashford a new contract which would make his wages rise from £75,000 to £150,000-per-week, according to David McDonnell of the Mirror. The club's primary intention to extend the 21-year-old's current deal is understood to be their willingness to protect Rashford from Real Madrid and Juventus who are reportedly interested in the Three Lions forward.
Rashford's contract expires at the end of 2019/20 season and includes a one-year extension clause, however, considering the England international's recent form the club are eager to convince him to sign a new long-term contract.
Following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s arrival at Old Trafford, Rashford scored 4 goals in 6 games, including the first-half winner against Tottenham on Sunday which helped the Norwegian manager to break Sir Matt Busby's record by winning six starting games in charge of Man United.
Paul Pogba has been foistered with praise in recent weeks after his impressive start under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Pogba has bagged 4 goals and 4 assists in his last 5 games under the new boss and is looking to continue his fine form when United host Brighton at Old Trafford. However, a small minority of the football world are criticising the Frenchman and is asking the question of, why did Pogba not perform under Mourinho. Few are believing it's down to the player not playing for themanager but Paul Pogba has recently spoken out and said that, "The tactics we use to play was difficult for me, I like to be more attacking, pressing, playing high rather than defending" and clearly he wasn't feeling the love under Mourinho. Football has moved on and Mourinho's tactics hasn't and, for me, the reason why Pogba couldn't perform under him.At his time at Juventus and when his with the French national team, he rarely comes back to defend but rather has a free roam in the middle of the park. Jose's negative tactics clearly didn't suit Pogba's style of play and Solskjaer's has, as recent weeks has proven. The Frenchmen looks like his playing in the number 10 role under Ole and he is thriving.Ole's tactics of "attack attack attack" and bringing the fear factor back to Old Trafford is clearly showing.
