  • My mindset is somewhere between iron and ice cream currently. Somewhere between be fit but enjoy your life. I’m learning it can be okay to just maintain at times. I look back at all the cuts, diet restrictions, back to back comps, and intense workouts I use to put myself through. I realize now this year was a nice break. Usually I’m prepping for a meet at this time trying to break some record, restricting myself super concerned with my weight, and training like the gym is going to get up and leave. So it’s refreshing going into the holiday season with only one goal, to enjoy myself while spending time with those who matter to me. Plus this unintentional long break has left me hungry to compete at the capacity I use to. [ ] It’s been nice to regroup and be less strict and I’m really glad it makes me miss being extreme. Guess a reset isn’t the worst thing. Just one last hooorah before I use the new year as a reason to try and get obsessive again cus cant be like this much longer. Too chill for my own good. Still can’t seem to grasp balance. My scales are always tipped, but at least I’m learning breaks are okay and cookies won’t kill ya. No Rahgrets.   • Are your 2019 goals set? . . As we come to end of 2018, this is a good time for us to sit down and reflect back on the year as a whole. Have you managed to tick off those goals/targets that you set this time last year? . . These may have been health related, work related or even family/lifestyle? Whatever it was you set out did we manage to achieve it? If you did then that is awesome! If you never, then don’t worry, don’t see it as a “failed mission”! Look back and assess where did you go wrong. What could you have done better. . . On the other side of looking to improve is to look back and see if you are STILL better off than what you started at all of 12 months ago. If your goal was to hit a certain body weight of 80kg but only managed 85kg. Don not see this as a negative when remember that you started at 100kg. This totalling to a drop of 15kg, meaning you are better off than what you started! . . So go ahead and still set some quality goals for next year. Make sure they go hand in hand with what you are willing to do in order to achieve these goals/targets! . . Wether you want to lose fat, gain muscle or improve your overall health then I can help you create a solid plan of action and head into the New Year ready to rock your goals! . .   • Some choices can have immediate ramifications, others have a slow-bleed that come to a head days/weeks/months later. I recently made 3 interrelated choices centered around a time frame I wished to impose. Mistake. I will make choices centered around time frames that are realities, not ones I would personally have. I was expanding faster than I could sustain, and have now paid the price(s) of tuition at the school of hard knocks. Entrepreneurship isn’t all about the wins, and I just got through my first round of bullshit. Wounded, but not even close to dead. In the mean time, I will get smarter and work harder. More content on the way, I am still very excited to show you all what I have been working on and much, much more. Stay hungry, stay positive, and make some mistakes. @creatingchampions

When @janinexgx first approached me regarding online coaching she was eating very little and terrified of carbs. She trained hard but preferred volume over lifting heavy as this is what she had always done. . It was important that we made changes relatively slowly as if we changed too much too soon it would have been too much. . She now loves lifting heavy and it was only Saturday she messaged me telling me she had managed the 18kg DBs for chest pressing 💪🏼 she also now loves her carbs, in particular 🍞 and coco pops 🤪 . We now start the next chapter and in a much better place that the first. . 2019 is looking bright 🌟 . @tjponlinebodycomp

I saw a post this morning that made me go 😳🤔 Its my fault that I am not moving forward. That I am stuck right where I have been for months. So today it stops.🛑 I am worth the things I want.   • A great post by @joeparish on the powerful lessons he learned from cycling the length of the country 💪🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Repost via @joeparish - w/ @repostwhiz app: 5 POWERFUL lessons learned from cycling the length of the country.. . 1. Focus on what really matters - All I cared about each and everyday on the bike was food, water, a bed to sleep in, seeing LC and Lola and not dying (I had read some pretty terrifying stories prior to starting the cycle). Everything else for 10 days out width those few essential basic needs in life honestly didn’t matter. . 2. I must, I can and I will - Stupidly or not, my thought process when I couldn’t bend or move my knees properly and as I was biting down on my rain jacket for the best part of the first 4 days to deal with the pain was that if I needed double knee surgery after completing the cycle and that was an outcome from continuing on, I was more than happy to accept that as a consequence as long as I completed the ride. I don’t really know what the lesson is here, there’s both positives and negatives to that way of thinking.. but it’s incredibly how powerful the mind is and how you deal with pain when you accept what the worst could be. . 3. Use anger to fuel you - My motto from start to finish was to smile regardless of how hard or shitty it got and whilst that certainly played its role, using anger as a fuel to drive and push you on can be a great addition if you can control it. . 4. Music is like a powerful drug, use it to your advantage- I only ever had some Spotify out twice in the 10 days as I wanted to use it almost as a “secret weapon” and a motivator when I’d exhausted all other resources and the time on the bike became incredibly tough. The power of music and the way it makes you feel and how it pushes you on and keeps you going is incredible. . 5. Eating an entire coffee cake to yourself in one sitting post cycle can be an incredibly quick and easy way to start the bodyweight regaining and recovery process 😝 . @tjponlinebodycomp #Commit #Transform #Change

  • Just as I’ve been tapping into where I’m feeling stuck or frustrated in my life, I decided this morning that my new mantra is going to be “No Excuses!” Whether it’s about sticking to exercise, healthy eating, focusing on goals for my business that I literally have no more excuses for why I can’t stick to my intentions. Then coming to my office this morning I pulled an angel card to set intentions for my day, and out of 100 cards, I pulled “commitment.” Yes!!   • 10 pounds of love! I worked up until I was about 42 weeks pregnant and I got a call saying that today we are having a [big, but healthy] baby. Throughout my pregnancy I had a fairly balanced diet and focused on eating from the main food groups (with the honest exceptions of some indulgences here and there). Since I was fueling two bodies, it was important that I was eating the right foods for many reasons. I am also thankful that I was able to stay pretty active! I walked regularly and was even riding my bike through my neighblrhood when I was 8-9 months pregnant!! Can you imagine? 😂 As we learned how to navigate our new life as parents, that was our main focus. I had a very adventurous delivery so I was down for a few months - very limited activity. Once I got cleared, I started with functional exercises and focused on nutrition to help get me back to my goal of my college days fitness level. One month post-partum I had lost about 50 pounds (baby, fluid, etc)!! I was ready to keep going. With parent life, work and other life obligations, I plateaued. I lost some weight but wasn't continuing to see or feel progress. Once I changed things up and said yes to this Coaching opportunity, things started heading in the direction that I planned!! Anyone can do these programs!!   • I can't NOT participate in #transformationtuesday when I have actually had a freaking REAL transformation, right!? Right. This transformation took about 3 months. I was in a private test group with the trainer, and followed an 80 day program that I streamed online from my library of exercise programs. I almost 100% followed the meal plan that was provided. (I had to have some half and half in my tea, sorry.) . Was it hard to do? At some points, yes, in the sense that I would be offered a brownie or something and didn't eat it. 💪 ✔️ . Did it take time to meal prep and plan for outings with friends? Yes.✔️ . Was it worth it? HELL YES! ✔️ I am so proud of myself! . I never thought I could look like this. EVER.   • Mindset is how it starts and something you need to work on the daily bases. Set your goals and set them high! Without a goal you’ll never gonna reach your full potential. Be clear and specific about what you want, and be sure you close that back door, no turning back and make quitting not an option! Commit to the daily action. We don’t always feel like it, but don’t let that stop you! You will fall of wagon because we are human and make mistakes and experience failures. That’s ok as long as you keep on going!! I am grateful for all my failures, as they helped me to be a better version of myself. And I had lots of them and will continue to have more! Bring it on, I am ready !! 😊 What successful means to me is to keep moving, to keep taking actions, to keep believing and to commit every day towards my goals! I read my book for a bout an hour and finally went back to 😴....... 5am the hubby gets up for work..... who doesn’t want to get out of bed 🙋🏻‍♀️ BUT I knew I had a busy ass day ahead. And I KNEW my 40 min workout I have scheduled would give me more energy to tackle the day ahead......so I rolled out of bed into my workout clothes. Poured a cup of ☕️ and pushed play . . 💥 just like that I felt amazing!!! And now I do t even feel like I missed out on any sleep! . . Ok Tuesday..... let’s do this 😀 : . T minus 6 days til Christmas!!

Getting some office work completed this morning, finish up my shopping this afternoon plus sending out our holiday cards and then it’s off to watch Kaden in his last preschool Christmas program this evening. So looking forward to more celebrations this week & next as well! Love this time of the year and that I’ve found a way to make my health a priority even during the busiest of seasons.
