  • Nutrition check in. Sitting around 124lbs currently, lowest my body weight has been in a while. Not necessarily a good thing, more so indicative of the muscle mass I’ve lost during the time off. I’m not a big fan of traditional “bulks”, so the only change I’ll make is upping my protein intake by 10g and my carb intake by 20g to start. Remember there’s an upper limit for how much lean mass you can put on per period of time. When bulking, 100% of the extra calories WILL NOT go towards building muscle, some get stored as fat.   • • 🔵Asking myself lately: how do I awaken my mind and strengthen it? • I’ve realised that pain is the answer ......... by being aware that the Creator is the one who gives you all the torments, that by putting you in such a state, the Creator asks for your attention. People still can’t see the actual reasons for those painful events; they cannot see that it is the Creator who is behind them. They don’t understand that the Creator desires to bring us back to Him, to make us advance in the right direction towards the end goal. • We’ve all experienced the feeling of having (for example) a “broken heart”, which comes with a a great deal of pain in which we deal with in different ways. This type of pain is a test. How will you deal with it? My advice.... don’t fuckin waste it... Use it as fuel to ignite your passion.

  • Checking in @hybridperformancemethod. Weight is still at 125lbs but body composition has changed a lot. Macros still at 150p/200c/60f, might seem low but remember I’m 5’0 and 125lbs. The energy demands of powerlifting aren’t that high, and I gage what I need based on the changes in body weight. It’s only “too little calories” if my weight or performance drops, which hasn’t been the case. . @hybridperformancemethod

Coming home from our family date night last night, my mind went down a “rabbit hole” fast.🌪 .

  • So thankful for this man .................. 🙏🏼😍 Coming home from our family date night last night, my mind went down a “rabbit hole” fast.🌪 . . I was sitting in the passenger seat & started thinking about my moms sudden passing...... we have the same kind of personality. Just like me, she was a “suck it up buttercup”, push yourself through the hard to become better kind of girl. I started wondering..... if she had been struggling to breath during her run, & she passed by our house, why wouldn’t she have stopped in & said something? But I knew the answer.... because she’s just like me & she’d make herself tough it out and push through the hard. Then I spiraled into thinking about a few sudden deaths I’ve seen on social lately & my friends brother who went to the hospital with chest pain earlier that day & then an ambulance sped by us with its sirens on and all of a sudden I got really warm. My feet felt cold and my hands were tingly like they’d been asleep. And my chest felt heavy and my heart start pounding. . . I grabbed his hand and rolled down my window. He asked me what was going on & I quietly told him, so I wouldn’t scare the kids. But I was SCARED. . . He told me to focus on my breathing and asked if I thought I needed to go somewhere. I begged God for peace & calm to be upon me. And as we pulled up to our house I was fine. But I hugged him in the kitchen & told him I was scared. . . I’ve always been a “strong woman”. Who’s pushed through “my hard”. But having my husband by my side & allowing me to crumble into his arms, I’m realizing, is one of God’s greatest gifts to me. 🎁 . . #forbetterorforworse #reallife #thegoodthebadandeverythinginbetween
