Je pakt de bal met een goed gewicht. Stopt je vingers in de drie holletjes. Gaat op de juiste plek staan. Zwaait de bal een klein beetje naar achter. Geeft het een zwaai naar voren en laat hem los. Je kijkt vol verwachting hoeveel pionnen er om zullen vallen.
Bowlen is eigenlijk ook een metafoor voor het leven: Je doet wat je geleerd hebt, je kan er beter in worden door te oefenen en er is altijd een moment waarop je loslaat en je alleen kunt overgeven aan wat er gebeurt. En dan kan je ervan genieten.
Kan jij een beetje bowlen? Afgelopen vrijdag ging ik bowlen tijdens het jaarlijkse teamuitje van @wakkerbijbakker, wat tegelijkertijd mijn afscheid was. Vanaf januari 2019 ga ik zonder deze fantastische opdrachtgever verder. Bij de drie teamuitjes ben ik niet één keer in de buurt van de 100 punten gekomen. lets talk MEAL PREP!! the #1 excuse to not eat healthy is “I dont have enough time”. Go in your settings and look how much time you spend on social media. If you’re resourceful and learn how to multitask in the kitchen, meal prepping will take less than an hour of that !!🧡
My favorite things to cook when I have “one of those weeks” is dedicating 15 minutes after I get back from the store to cut up delicata rings, cauliflower heads, spaghetti squash, butternut squash, etc, throw them in the oven with some spices for an hour while I do my homework. Right after I carrotsput them in the oven I take out all the containers so I can just plop them all in the fridge once they’re done cooking. You can do this with sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts tossed in olive oil, onions, mushrooms, , anything! or — mix them all together and make a one pan dinner(s). ———

set the oven to 425 - for the delicata, spray with avocado/olive oil and sprinkle with cinnamon
- for the cauliflower, i made a lemon tahini sauce with 2 tbs tahini (50 g), 1 tbs water or nut milk, minced garlic, and 1/2 squeezed lemon juice. spray with avocado/olive oil and add salt and pepper !! ❌❌I’ll put some more meal prep ideas on my story❌❌

Have you ever gone to your hairdresser and showed her/him a picture of a model in a magazine and said, " I love this! Please give me this edgy-stylish daring bob" only to walk out of there feeling like a you just got a 7-year-old boy bowl cut?
How you had envisioned looking may not have worked because of the texture of your hair - wavy versus straight or the shape of your face is different than the model in the magazine. If you have a good hairdresser, she/he will hopefully gently explain why the cut may not be best suited for you and help you to find a better option.
The same goes for you as an AIM client. You may see before and after pictures of AIM success stories and think, "I want to look like her", "How do I get his abs?”. It’s not uncommon to have new clients even request ‘spot’ fat loss, "I only want to lose fat in my butt but I want my breasts to stay the same." To that we say " Do you, Boo!" Recognize that genetics will play a big part in your transformation. Our goal for you is that you view yourself as unique and beautiful and work with your coach to create realistic goals about what your body will do.
Why put pressure on yourself to achieve a shape that your body is not made to be?
Instead, resist comparing yourself to others and focus on your journey. Let us help you find the best version of YOU.

While it hasn’t always been fun-in-the-sun and unicorn rainbows, you followed the plan and put in the work—even when you felt like you weren’t making any progress at all.
You knew that as long as you kept taking specific, goal-oriented action, it would pay off.

Sunday’s are always a crazy day for me. I try to clean up the house, get all my laundry done, meal prep, set my goals for the upcoming week and today I have to finish up my Christmas shopping. I always try to get my workout in first though because I know myself and if I save it for last I will not want to do it. Training in the gym is a privilege 🙌🏼
It’s easy to take any form of exercising for granted when it becomes part of your routine. Until you get an injury that stops you from doing it, then you realise how lucky you were 🤔
The last 2 weeks I’ve had a minor chest niggle, which has meant I couldn’t train chest for a week and I’ve only started training it very lightly. I’m lucky it’s nothing serious and I could train everything appart from chest but it’s made me realise how training is a privilege ✅
Lots of people can’t train due to injuries etc. So if you’re luck enough to train or exercise, appreciate it as you never know what can happen💥
My body is need of a deload soon, ready to smash it in the new year 🎯

Sometimes I feel like I "dont have time," to practice yoga. But in reality, if I spend even just 15 minutes in the morning on my mat it gives me the clarity and focus I need so that I don't find myself mindlessly scrolling on Facebook or asking myself, "wait, what was i doing?" Or... "I can't remember what I came in here for.." Do you know what I'm talking about?? Yoga is my daily medicine. It sets the tone for the day by getting me to take deep concious breathes and move my body to get rid of the stiffness and stagnant energy.
