🔥 As many of you know... I am a huge supporter of Intermittent Fasting for weight loss and a healthy life in general. (If interested in Intermittent Fasting then check out the link in my bio.)⠀
🤔With that said, many people are comfortable skipping breakfast. The old mantra about it being the most important meal of the day still rings in my head every single morning.⠀
🍳Just because I advocate for Intermittent Fasting doesn't mean that recommend that you skip breakfast.⠀
🔑 All you really need to do is to skip is the sugary cereal, the white bagels, the syrupy waffles, and the fruit juice.⠀
✅If you are going to eat breakfast then make sure that you do it the RIGHT WAY. Eat great foods that will energize you into a productive morning and a heroic afternoon. This list is just some examples of foods that will help you achieve just that.⠀
🥅 Feel better while eating less calories. That is the ultimate goal!⠀
❓So now the question goes to you.... what is your favorite healthy breakfast food? Mine is definitely eggs😬⠀

You'll definitely want to save this paleo sweet potato burger recipe to make on the 4th!! They're packed with flavor, didn't take long at all to make and they're sure to be a hit with anyone 😌 These burgs are gluten free & dairy free-- but feel free to choose any toppings you'd like! I opted for lettuce, avocado and sweetened only with honey 🍯 The recipe has simple ingredients and the ketchup does too. Plus, it tastes amazing! (and so good with sweet potato fries 🙌🙌)
Organic Turkey Burgers:
1 lb organic ground turkey (can sub for organic chicken or grass-fed beef)
1/3 cup chopped spinach or collard greens
1/2 diced bell pepper
1 tsp cumin
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1/2 tsp red chili flakes
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 extra wide sweet potato
Combine all ingredients, excluding sweet potato, in large bowl and mix together. Form into patties. Heat oil in a pan on medium until hot but not smoking, then place burger patties in pan and let cook about 5-8 minutes either side. Cover pan with lid to speed up cooking time. Slice sweet potato into 1/2-inch thick rounds and place on parchment paper covered baking sheet. Spray lightly with avocado oil and BROIL in the oven, center rack, high heat (525 degrees F) for about 6-8 minutes either side, or until they start to turn golden and bubble. Form burgers with sweet potato rounds, mixed greens, avocado and condiments. Enjoy! 🍔🍟

10 Healthy Foods That Boost Energy
🥜Almonds. Almonds are a superstar in the snack world, as they contain important nutrients, like magnesium and B vitamins, that help convert food to energy. "Research shows that people with low magnesium levels tend to tire more quickly during exercise due to magnesium's role in energy metabolism
🍿Popcorn. Popcorn is a smarter pick than other crunchy snacks, like chips, since it's a whole grain that's low in calories — as long as you don't douse it with butter, salt, or oil
🌰Peanut Butter. Its healthy fats, protein, and fiber help stave off hunger and keep blood sugar levels stable.
🍣Salmon. Besides the healthy fat, the high protein count promotes satiety, which makes it a great energizing dinner option for those trying to lose weight.
🍌Bananas. They're filled with fiber, vitamin B6, and potassium — nutrients that promote sustained energy and muscle function
🥗Kale. Kale contains the amino acid L-tyrosine, which may help give you a mental lift, as well as a number of antioxidants and fiber to fill you up -
🥣Oatmeal. Because fiber takes so long to digest, having oatmeal for breakfast will power you through the entire morning
🍪Pistachios. Powerhouse pistachios have a combination of protein, fiber, and heart-healthy monounsaturated fats that adds up to a perfectly satisfying snack.
🥃Hummus. The fiber and protein that the beans provide stabilize blood sugar, take the edge off hunger, and boost energy
🥛Greek Yogurt. When it comes to yogurt, Greek varieties can deliver twice the amount of hunger-satisfying protein as regular offerings , making it a supercharged snack

... because when breakfast toast loaded with PB, bananas, hemp seeds & a drizzle of raw honey looks this good... the only logical thing to do is take a bite. And, a massive one at that. 😏👌🍯 #bkn#bknhive#toasttuesday ⠀
Breakfast smoothie! Banana, pears & mango. It’s so tasty and has a ton of health benefits. Bananas: antibacterial, anti-yeast & anti-fungal. Pears: gently cleanse & soothe the liver. Mangoes nourish the liver. Help prevent lung, breast, colon, prostate, blood and oral cancers. Also have vitamins A, C, E & B complex. Compote is the KEY to solving one of the world’s BIGGEST PROBLEMS: boring oatmeal... 😴 Yup, we’ve all been there. Unexcited about breakfast. Sick and tired of the same bowl of oats.
I feel your pain. I ate the same bowl of oats 180 days in a row when I was in high school 📚 Boy did that get old... Fortunately, I learned how to make compote!
Here’s how I make a compote in 3 easy steps:
1. Pick a theme 🍒 Today I wanted PB&J oatmeal so I made my compote out of local cherries and peanut butter.
2. Cook down your fruit 🔥 Heat a pan to medium heat and add your fruit, which will begin to release its juice. Once bubbling, lower heat to a simmer and mash the fruit to your liking. This will normally take ~10 minutes.
3. Add some mo’ flavor 🍊 This is where you can get crafty! You can add different spices, zests, or in my case nut butters to make a unique and delicious compote.
That’s it! Have you ever made a compote?
Getting back into routine over here. Started my day off with @alvaradostreetbakery sprouted flax seed bread + pb + banana slices + sprinkle of cinnamon + @beeseasonalhoney new product bee pollen. So happy they sent it my way to let me try it! 🌠 If you haven't heard of them check out their website to learn about sustainable farming. 🐝
It has been a second since I talked about SHAKSHOUKA. One of my go-to breakfasts that never fails me. This one is loaded with kale, fresh cherry tomatoes, labneh, vegan mozzarella, and fresh parsley (yes I know I mixed dairy and non dairy but I felt like it)
To make, I sauté the kale in some olive oil first, then pour in the tomato sauce along with the fresh tomatoes. Crack in your eggs, cover and cook for 3ish minutes or until eggs have just begun to set (check to see that whites are cooked but yolk is still runny). Top with cheese, labneh; parsley, pepper, crushed red pepper — or anything your heart desires!
I also have a Shakshouka guide on my blog to get you started!

😆✌️ #daswarennochzeiten
This breakfast doubles as lunch. Finely diced half an apple, half a pear, a persimmon, glob of goat yogurt, good sprinkle of hibiscus powder. Coffee. Obsessed with this dish ever since I had it in Israel. All the fruit and all the crunch and all the protein you need is right there in one bowl. Trying to get some good dairy restaurants to serve it this side of the pond @mozzarellacrownheights@basilpizza
