  • The alarm goes off it's... 333, wait, the alarm didnt go off yet, you woke yourself up before the 335a alarm. You are tired, again, because taking a rest day stops the momentum and makes everything harder. You try to be as quiet as a mouse, get dressed, do hair and put contacts in to the light of your watch. You sneak to the livingroom and put on your shoes and hear the first sign of the Sleep Stealer. She barks and you think, if I can just run my warm-up without interruption, I could be a happy camper. It doesn't matter that you're running in the dark to be as courteous to everyone sleeping, as possible. At .10 miles you have to jump off the TM due to the high pitched barking not only to let the dog out before she wakes the whole house, but also at least once a week this effing TM needs reset and turned off and back on. Awesome. You let them out and think "hubby will let them in on his way out the door, so that will save me one stop." Nope. I have to get off to let them in. You're running again. Damn it, nature calls, may as well let the dogs out again, after all, it is 26 degrees. You're running 6x1mi. Plan was at 7:40, but 8:00 feels like 6:30 at this point. You keep thinking of coyotes eating your dogs, your HR is all over the place. This drains your energy, by the 4th "fast mile" you contemplate quitting. Only 30 min left, you got this, but between there nature called again and then you had to let the dogs in. You're dying. At .25 miles left, hubby gets home and some how the little dog winds up under your feet while running. EFF!! 10 miles. Thank god! You slam the stop button and take a P.O.'d selfie. That was my run. How was yours? God I hate running at home!!!! #bulldogstrong #runwild  #ultratraining #iloverunning #runnershigh #runhundredambassador #procompressionambassador  #JaybirdSportAmbassador #sponsored #POWERYOURPASSION #runlikeyoustoleit #mountains #fitspo #marathoner #runobsessed #marathonrunner #imamarathoner #marathontraining #igrunners #instarunner #iloverunning #beatyesterday #runcim #getoutside #chaseyourdreams #womensrunningcommunity #runnerscommunity #coloradomarathon #runnersofinstagram

  • “No one gets to tell you how big your dreams can be” - Rachel Hollis . . I have definitely gotten my fair share of skeptical comments regarding my training and running etc. and that’s totally fine because just like this quote says they are my dreams and goals for me. . For me ❤️❤️ . Is there something you’ve wanted to do? A goal you’ve wanted to set? DO IT! Make it big or little! You get to decide and do it for you! . Tell me something you’ve always wanted to do?!

  • Instead of racing in the @santatothesea this year, I decided to cheer and support the runners/walkers. I met a lot of kind individuals who gathered together to support the final runners/walkers crossing the finish line. I have to say it is really discouraging that everyone leaves and doesn't stay to cheer for the remaining runners. I had no idea since I've never been on the other side of things. Thankfully we gathered a number of individuals to make an arch and show support for the final racer...by the smile on her face I think she really appreciated that ☺ To the lady carrying her dog on her back for 13 miles, the 70 and 80 year old men/women crossing the finish line, and the individuals walking across the finish line but still smiling from ear to ear...CONGRATULATIONS! YOU DID IT! 🤗 #runnersofinstagram #runnersbelike #motherdogrunner #runnersofig #irun #support #womenrunningcommunity #inspiringwomenrunners #inspiringwomen #training #runnergirl #imamarathoner

  • Started my morning off with #bbgstronger 🏋🏼‍♀️then had a much needed roll-out sesh with my fave @rollgahealth foam roller! ⭐️It hurt- but a good and much needed hurt. How often do you foam roll? I think one of my New Years resolutions will be to foam roll 2-3 times a week. 😉If you’ve been wanting one go check out @rollgahealth ❤️❤️

#maraton #maratonvalencia #imamarathoner #valencia #marathon #marathonman #running

  • I listened to a podcast on my earlier run today and then on my afternoon run I was thinking a lot about something that she said. . “In life, everything is one perspective shift away from you becoming the person you want to become.” . It’s so true. A lot of time our perspective needs to change. I remember saying to my husband I could never run 13 miles and never would I be able to run 26.2 miles. 🙈 I kept running and really enjoyed it every-time I ran. Then my perspective started to change, I thought I could run 13 and then 26.2. I had to believe in myself and I had to adjust my perspective. ❤️ now I’ve done 3 marathons and am training for my 3rd half Ironman. ❤️❤️

  • “Each day is a day of decision, and our decisions determine our destiny” -President Russell M Nelson . This has to be one of my favorite quotes and always a reminder I love! Any choice, decision we make will bring us closer (or further) to our goals! What did you do today!? What are some of your goals?❤️❤️. . Today called for a nice relaxed run and it was just what my body needed. 😍

  • I read an article today that said to replace negativity with positivity, so instead of me saying "I'm sorry for posting all my race photos lately," instead I'm going to tell you, "Thank you for understanding how important and meaningful completing my first marathon was...I hope you enjoy all my photos I will be posting from here on out!" WOW! Doesn't that sound so much better?! 🌱 This photo explains so many different emotions (physical) and feelings (mental) I had crossing the finish line. I had just seen all my family members before crossing the finish line. They were cheering and so thrilled for me. I was so happy to see them there cheering me on and then looking at my husband's face...he was just in awe of me 😍 I was relieved, I was in pain (from my feet to my shoulders), I was overwhelmed, I was disappointed in myself, I felt nauseous, and I was about to cry due to being so overwhelmed and also thinking about Bruiser. (I dedicated my race to my beloved Yorkie who passed away last year. I had written on my bib "For Bruiser.") I had been feeling great up until mile 20, despite at mile 14 or 15 I had to stop and use the restroom, there was no way around that one and because of this I lost about 5 minutes. For the last 6 miles, I was suffering from nausea. I was so sick to my stomach, I kept having to stop every so often in fear of getting sick. Then my feet and glutes were throbbing. The physical pain is no joke, but I'm also strong and knew I could finish. I had set a finish time for myself and was disappointed when I came in 30 minutes past that time due to being sick. I probably could have pushed myself harder, in fact I know I could've. I didn't give it my all and that was disappointing. But damnit I did it! 👏 The good thing is there will always be another race. I can always improve my time. I can always better myself. And I CAN beat my time!! • • #tuesdaythoughts #Bruiser4ever #lovemyhusband #honest #truth #inmyfeelings #emotions #runner #runnersofinstagram #runnersbelike #motherdogrunner #runnersworld #irun #womenrunningcommunity #rocknrolllasvegas #inspiringwomenrunners #womenrunning #oisellecalifornia #imamarathoner #twentysixpointtwo

  • #medalmonday Congrats to #oymambassador @runbecca_run on her first 50k! #trailrunnertalkdirtytome • ⛰🏃‍♀️ @runbecca_run ・・・ First (and probably only 🤣) 50K done. I'll post details tomorrow. My babies finished the race with me and @abeis355 caught a great shot (even considering all the people in the way). Thanks for always supporting me, my loves😍. Thanks to all of you, for your kind words and inspiration as well!! 😘 I'm totally grateful for everyone... plus I'm very emotional after races, LOL.

  • Feeling overwhelmed and quite emotional by the amount of love and encouragement I have received the past 18 weeks. This was a crazy dream... a bucket list item in June but through all of you... YES YOU!!! You gave me the support to make this a reality! 5:01 marathon time, I tried so hard to make it under 5 but mile 25 I thought I was going to pee on myself... and y’all I considered it to make it a 5 under time 😬 ... unfortunately I just couldn’t do it. Porta potty stop at freaking mile 25 and of course non stop foot pain from mile 14 on. I think I started blacking out from the pain and just focused on seeing B and embraced every kind message and cheer from you all! Now time to relax, drink champagne and eat a Philly cheesesteak! I love each and everyone of you and having my biggest cheerleader today with me @boriscolumbus was the highlight! #imamarathoner #philadelphiamarathon #aacr #oisellevolée #itsonlycrazyuntilyoudoit #26point2 #girlrunner #garminfenix5 @oiselle @philly_marathon @runningterritory

  • 50K RECAP: okay... for all you people with this race on your bucket list, here are my 2cents. Mind you, I'm from the midwest and only moved to elevation 3 months ago; also, I'm a road runner. The only other "trail" race I have done was a 5mile downhill run when I first moved here. It felt like 28 at the start, but planned to feel like 59 by the end so I knew I needed to pack light. Race started all up hill for 3 miles, and then downhill for another few. These downhill miles felt great, so I just let my body go with it. Enter the trails... first bit of trails were pretty open and easy compared to what was to come. I knew from researching the race that I had 15 miles mostly uphill and then the last half was "downhill," so I was just trying to make it to that point. Skipped the first few aid stations since I had gels and my Camelback. I about ate it 10x and had to flail my arms out wildly to keep balance, which would spike my HR each time, but I did NOT fall. The terrain was not as "flat" as people kept telling me. Jumping over cracks in the rock, jumping off boulders and having loose rock pieces roll your ankles is not flat to me. Stopped at the last 2 aid stations for water. The last half did NOT feel very downhill. I'm sure it's because I was tired by then, but I tripped a lot, and there was CAUTION painted here and there so as not to fall down the slick rock. Then, back to the trails we entered on.. 3 miles uphill... in sand. We all know running in sand sucks. Goal at this point: make it to the downhill finish. And I did, with muscle cramps under my ribs; I had to stop a few times and try to rub/stretch them out, but I could see the finish. Stopped toward the end to coax my daughter into joining my son and me to the finish line, which she obliged and was surprised they both didnt stop all the way to the finish chute. So proud of them and I was surprised at myself. I'm sore in places road races dont go; this recovery may be different but may be faster since it wasnt pounding pavement. Calves hurt, leg muscles up from my feet are sore, but not my back, like usual. Dont worry, I'll roll it out 😉 if I ever did this again, I would REALLY need to up my trail game!

  • These two pictures captured the two greatest moments of @nycmarathon! First one is around mile 17, @fredsteammskcc in front of Memorial Sloan Kettering. I had my family and my #fredsteam family cheering me on. But I was looking up at the hospital, blowing kisses to the patients that were looking down and cheering all #fredsteam runners. It’s humbling to know that patients undergoing treatments were looking down and cheering me on. The second pic is me crossing the finish line. I was bewildered that I did it! There are no words that can explain my feelings. Crossing the finish line having been carried 26.2 miles with the love and support of survivors, fighters and sadly those who have lost their fight. I am now committed to run NYC Marathon for @fredsteammskcc every year until I can’t. My message will be louder every year to run for cancer research. Memorial Sloan Kettering has my heart! #cancerkiller #imamarathoner #doingitagain
