‘Strength’ is cultivated through the removal of fear and weakness from various elements in life, the more fear doesn’t exist the more strength can manifest. The application and effort required is then up to the individual ...
Those moments that challenge us, expose our insecurities, force us to meet ourselves in the most honest of ways...they require the most courage. And they provoke the most change. Sit with those moments. Offer patience and kindness to yourself. Breathe with them. #lifelessons • a #tbt to the photo shoot with the brilliant @briankaminski

You guys know that I’m obsessed with @orangetheory, but my favorite #fitness activity is...walking. That’s right, good old fashioned walking. No gym, no trainer, no expenses, just walking. Solo, with Milly, with my parents, Sean or friends, there’s nothing like walking. Whether it’s a 10 minute trip around the block or an hour loop around the rose bowl, I love starting every day with a walk. #noexcuses#7daysforeverybody#wellnessthatworks#movemore
Sometimes you just don't want to go to the gym, its normal, you may have had a rubbish sleep, be stressed out, generally busy and the gym is the last thing you want to do....you have a few options here:
1. You suck it up- you stop making excuses, get your ass moving and get to the gym as planned (thats me today)
2. You don't go to the gym but you have an "active" day, go for a walk, clear the garden or just generally keep moving....you will burn plenty of calories and feel fresh for that gym session tomorrow
3. You sack it off- this isn't generally a bad thing either, you may just actually need the rest BUT if this is happening all the time its not a good option as you are now in a rut and its hard to pull out of
Next time you "Cant be bothered" Really think about it, are you just being a bit lazy, could you go for a walk instead or is your body telling you it needs a rest and you can go tomorrow? #gym#cantbearsed#motivation#neat#movement#restday#eattrainlive#etl
The best RESULTS come about when you layer brain and body stimulation together with full engagement.
Remember when the brain has more information of where it is in space, the safer it feels, and the more likely you are to get the long term change you are looking for. When we move through the world, we move our head in all directions and still have to maintain our gaze on a target, or jump or eyes to different targets while maintaining control over the rest of our body
Here you can see a patient working through some specific hamstring sequencing/activation while adding in multiple sensory layers with engagement. They are specific to what was found during the assessment. There’s a lot more going on here regarding what the client is thinking, and where her focus is. .
The change can be profound when you address multiple layers and your treatment is specific.

🌺Tahitian dance classes at @academymewsdancestudios 🌸Starting back this weekend. January 19th! ………………………………………….
👉🏼Saturdays 12.30pm to 2pm - £10 per class ……………………………….
👉🏼Wednesdays 7.30pm to 8.30pm £8 per class…………………………………
Ori’ London are for all levels – complete beginners to advanced. It covers all the basics in both aparima (slow dance on songs) and ote’a (fast dance on percussion). After covering basics and warming up, we move on to a choreography alternating aparima and ote’a.
Tahitian dance is different from other Polynesian islands dance (hula from Hawaii, Samoan, Cook Islands, or Marquesas), although similar. Tahitian dance consists mostly in hips’ movements with knees bent, accompanied by gestures with the arms talking you through a story telling. Tahitian dance is bare foot and only requires a pareo, a short or long clothe tied around your hips.
Through the classes, we cover one choreography every 3 to 4 classes and all videos are published on the Facebook Group: Ori London – Dancers Group.

The Pinwheel Pigeon Hip Heist is the next level of basic seated hip flexor stretching. The pose stretches out the quads, hip flexors, internal and external obliques... Everything between the elevated hip and the opposite shoulder along the diagonal fascia line. Though I don't show it, you could also do this from a chair, couch, bed, or any sturdy surface. Link is in the bio.
