  • My face when I realize it's only Wednesday 😂 • In all honesty, I bought this awkward race photo because my dog makes this exact same derpy face when you say "do you want..." (always followed by food, lunch, dinner etc.) 🤣🤣🤣 Like mother like son I guess! I'll share a side by side in my stories for proof. Still enjoying my recovery over here, waiving goodbye to 2018, and getting freaking pumped for 2019 😍 There are many things I put off over the years due to school, residency, general BS excuses. But the one thing I'll never put off again is pursuing what makes me happy and feel alive. Don't ever put that off. It's surreal to see my next A goal race on my calendar: the Boston marathon. When I was 23, I told myself I wanted to qualify & run it before I turned 30. I put it off for a while and it took some (a lot of) getting my health back in line, but here we are squeaking in 3 months before I enter a new decade. It's never too late, friends! Why not now, why not you. 👊🏼 • 4 easy miles in the craziest headwinds that had me thinking how I need to put on more 💪🏼😆

Durch eisern Willen, Disziplin und harte Arbeit 👊🏻 kann man seine Vorhaben erfolgreich verwirklichen. 🏟️ Er ist der erste am Platz und der letzte der geht 💪🏼. Er arbeitet darüber hinaus weiter hart 🤸🏼‍♂️🏋🏼‍♂️ hinter den Kulissen, gibt nicht alles Preis über sein Leben, wer und wie er wirklich ist. Auch er ist nicht perfekt und macht Fehler, lernt daraus 🔞. That's it and that's why I, you know... 😉👌🏼 . 🏃🏼‍♂️💣💥 Vom Umfang und vom Tempo her gestalteten sich die letzten Tage für mich sehr intensiv. Heute konnte ich trotz dem Gefühl etwas ausgebrannt 🏃🏼‍♂️🔥 zu sein bei einem 14 Km Tempowechsellauf auf der Bahn 🏟️ etwas entspannen und einfach genießen. Hört sich etwas strange an, iss aber so und lief einfach 😅😋. Mein Trainier ⏱️ war begeistert und motivierte mich enorm heute, am Sonntag beim 🇩🇪🏁16 Km Cross Lauf 🏁🇩🇪 in Borgholzhausen richtig Last zu machen. Ikk freu mir. 😃👍🏼 . 😅 Nun heißt es in den nächsten Tagen die Füße still halten und den Akku 🔋 zu laden bevor es heißt 🏃🏼‍♂️🔥 Rock n' Run and Let's Go Crazy!!! 👊🏻😎 . 🌍 Also, denkt mal drüber nach womit ihr so wertvolle Kraft und Energie verschwendet 🤪 die Ihr viel viel sinnvoller einsetzen könntet☝🏼🧐.   • Rest day means some quality time with this little slice of heaven. 😍 Since I’ve started running again, I’ve made it a point to take one day off each week from pounding the pavement. Back when I was running running collegiately, we got one day off every three weeks, if we were lucky, which led to a pretty quick burnout. Having one day a week where I don’t have to wake up early or stress about getting some miles in has done WONDERS for my enjoyment of the sport, and overall mental well-being. Anyway I’m going to go *shred* now thank you for coming to my TED talk.

  • - ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Still beaming and considering myself lucky to have gotten into @chimarathon! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After running @nycmarathon and @seattlemarathon, I really wanted to run Chicago next year. I didn’t meet the qualifying time of 3:40 by 3 minutes, so I entered the lottery with my fingers crossed. 🤞🏻 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When I finally got around to checking my inbox after work last night, I was thrilled to see my acceptance email! 😍 After a hectic and stressful work day, it was such great news to receive! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve heard such great things about Chicago Marathon...I can’t wait! Plus, crossing the finish line in Chicago means I’ll have finished 2 of 6 of the #WorldMarathonMajors! (NYC was number 1). Is becoming a @wmmajors Six Star Finisher 🏅 a potential running goal of mine? We’ll see! 🤷🏻‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
