Man, it’s so easy to compare ourselves to others, especially with social media.
I’m usually pretty good about not comparing, but these last 6 months I’ve done a pretty bad job with it. I’ve been comparing my journey to other’s journeys 🙈
I compared myself to others during the miscarriage. Looked at other women who had a miscarriage & the surgery around the same time as me. I wondered why they didn’t experience body changes, when I looked in the mirror & didn’t even recognize my body. My body had significantly changed from the sudden change in hormones & I was up 15 pounds.
And over these last two months, I’ve found myself comparing to others who are also pregnant. I see women who aren’t sick at all, aren’t tired & have that pregnant glow. And that’s just not how it was for me. I have felt like a zombie. My pants and bras have all been too tight for about 5 weeks now. I threw up every single day multiple times a day for about 6 weeks and it’s still happening occasionally. I can’t even look at animal protein without throwing up. I throw up as soon as I eat a veggie. My nausea was finally starting to get better and then I get a cold. Some days I have barely gotten out of bed.
It’s easy to compare our journey to others, but I have to remind myself that we are all sooo different. Our bodies are different. Women’s bodies are so incredible what they are capable of. And we just cannot do the comparison game. So to keep it real today....I haven’t brushed my hair, haven’t washed my face, I have been living off of Trader Joe’s frozen Mac & cheese & fruit & I have only gotten off the couch to pee & heat up my food today🤷🏻♀️ #reallife
Let’s stop comparing ourselves to others, ok? 😍 Grateful for all these changes & this little baby bump that’s starting to appear 💕
a little #throwbackthursday for your timeline. Missing my summer lake days and my boyfriend Charlie teaching me how to swim. Winter is killing my adventure vibes!

If you ever think about singing, playing a sport, starting a business, or anything dream related, do it. Don’t wait for the perfect time, now is the perfect time! Don’t think about reasons of why it wouldn’t work, think about the outcome if it does! Times ticking..
I call this "Avoiding all my responsibilities by taking pictures in the parking lot instead of going in the grocery store because I hate grocery shopping"😂 🤷🥑 But tomorrow is Friday which means we made it through another week of adulting without completely losing our sh*t so give yourself a round of applause 👏🙌
Beer: Honey Pie
Thought this would be strong but this has a great balance and the honey is not overwhelmingly sweet. First trip to birdsong for this one and it lived up to the hype.
One of my favorites, Mary Oliver, September 10, 1935-January 17, 2019 ... Peace to her! “I found a dead fox
beside the gravel road,
curled inside the big
of an old tractor
that has been standing,
in the vines at the edge of the road.
I don't know
what happened to it-
when it came there
or why it lay down
for good, settling
its narrow chin
on the rusted rim
of the iron wheel
to look out
over the fields,
and that way died
But I know
this: its posture-
to the last possible moment,
back into the world-
made me want
to sing something
joyous and tender
But what happened is this-
when I began,
when I crawled in
through the honeysuckle
and lay down,
curling my long spine
inside the cold wheel,
and touched the dead fox,
and looked out
into the wide fields,
There was only myself
and the world,
and it was I who was leaving.
And what could I sing
Oh, beautiful world!
I just lay there
and looked at it.
And then it grew dark.
That day was done with...” Artwork sculpture Geoffrey Gorman, Sante Fe #maryoliver#poetoninstagram#geoffreygorman#artistsoninstagram#weswaugh#boonenc

As part of my birthday gift from @dgrantsoccer, he took me to see “On the Basis of Sex” @alamoraleigh. A good friend gifted me this shirt (shout out @laur_e_n) & another the tortoise hoops (shout out @thehannahhardy) so this seemed to be the most appropriate outfit to wear. I haven’t been to see a movie in a theater in yearssss, so this was a rare treat, and I loved the Alamo! What’s the best movie you’ve seen recently?
