Creamy Lentil, Hemp & Potato Salad by @sobeautifullyreal 💚 Recipe:
5-6 medium potoates, cut into evenly sized chunks⠀
1 can lentils, rinsed & drained⠀
1/3 cup tahini⠀
2 tbsp hemp oil or olive oil⠀
2 tsp sesame oil⠀
2 tsp maple syrup⠀
1/2 tsp dijon ⠀
1 tsp vegetable boullion powder⠀
1 tsp onion powder⠀
1/2 tsp cracked black pepper⠀
1/4 cup @myhemple hemp seeds⠀
salt to taste⠀
How to make:⠀
1. Coat the potatoes in 1 tbsp of the hemp or olive oil and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.⠀
2. Toss everything together in a bowl and garnish with any greens of choice.⠀

Another year older today and I'm feeling extra thankful for all the people in my life 🙌🏻 I don’t know if you all fully realize how much of an impact you have on my life, and I'm so grateflul to be able to create content for you and connect with each of you ☺️ This community has undoubtedly changed my life and I can't imagine not being a part of it. Anyways, enough of the sappiness! I honestly am not huge on celebrating my birthday so I decided to make today a self-care day 🙆🏻♂️I'm heading over to @zen.mind.space for a holistic spa treatment and then grabbing dinner with the fam 🙏🏻 Thanks again for all the kind birthday wishes ☺️

In the before picture it was January of 2017 and I had ENOUGH! I had enough of constantly battling with myself. Between feeling unhappy with my weight, only until an unhealthy food craving hit and suddenly those feelings went out the door and all I cared about was feeding that craving! Food addiction is real. I can’t tell you how many times I told myself (and others) that “I’m happy with the way I am and if people don’t like my body- oh well that’s their loss!”. I was 175 pounds and overweight, riddled with mystery health symptoms, living a life of heavy partying with a lot of alcohol consumption🍻 while eating the standard American diet which was high in processed and high fat “foods”🥓, as well as animal products🍳- not knowing that these foods were wreaking havoc on my health! I was always such a happy person but the light and life in my eyes in the after photo really shows the power of living a raw vegan lifestyle🍉
In the after picture I am 60 pounds lighter in my physical body, with an incredible weight lifted off of my soul. I have healed 95% of my health issues and have done so much soul healing as well. A huge thanks to @medicalmedium and Spirit for providing all of the information that has guided me to true health and vitality. 🙏🏼 The peace and love that I feel in my heart is truly overwhelming. Connecting with nature, our higher power and eating a high vibrational diet with an ABUNDANCE of fruits and veggies- has aligned me with my true self. Thank you Universe. I feel so connected. I am living my mission here on Earth🌍 I’ve always been spiritual but was unsure of what exactly my mission was here. I now know that my highest excitement is living my healthiest and happiest life in a state of infinite gratitude and love, while inspiring others to do the same! 💖

If only all children in this world could be free & safe. On a repulsive note, I found out today that Dole bananas uses child laborers and pays them half the minimum wage. They regularly come in contact with pesticides, which are often sprayed over an entire field when all the laborers are working. Many of the workers are left sterile and with health problems to last a lifetime.
I thought I was 'fine' buying the organic Dole bananas from Costco, because they are so 'cheap', well there was a high cost to pay for Dole's company practices in general. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I am excited for the day when only companies that show true care for the earth, and the people are able to operate. 🌿❤️

I wanted to start doing some videos on how I live and have lived with type 1 diabetes for 40+ years.
Below is a video of how I test my blood glucose levels which I do first thing in the morning on rising, before brunch at 1130am, pre and post training 130pm then 230pm, again before I eat a post work out meal at 330pm, before I walk Charlie at 530pm, pre dinner at 730pm, post dinner 930pm then final test at 1030pm before sleep.
I’m not rigid and do this every day however I do test regularly to make sure I’m still on track and at the most important times > meals and exercise and if I happen to get unwell.
My goal is below 6.0 on rising.
Day 11 of our Raw Food Detox. I don’t know what it is, but my senses are on high alert! I smelt bacon today and it smelt Aaaamazing!
But then I realize there is a light at the end of the tunnel and I’m doing this for me, to heal, and it’s a short term sacrifice for long term optimal health gain.
