It is just the first couple of minutes that might freeze you, but the rest melts your heart. ❄️☃️🏃🏻‍♀️💙❤️🔥(📷: @irunmom) Follow @RunningFervor for more.

  • Running on the grass 👣 We can post your photos in our account, follow the link in our bio @worlderunners and we will select your pictures. 💪🏼 It can be a great addition to your training program. A softer surface improves balance and strength, and it can help prevent impact injuries. Running on the grass requires more strength to run quickly. If you are training for an ultra-marathon, organize your grass training early in your schedule to build your stamina and strength. You will definitely see a difference when you come back on your usual trail tracks.📍Istanbul, Turkey 🌍 #worlderunners (📷: @nevallina) Follow @worlderunners for more.

  • Some workouts you rock, while some workouts rock out 🤕 I was really hopefully that today’s workout was going to be a great one, but my body had different plans. My goal was a 2 mile warm up followed by 4 miles at a 6’55” pace. Well the warm up started slow - probably not a good sign but I figured I just needed to warm up - and after the first mile I was feeling alright. I was ready to attack the 4 miles.... or so I thought. 1 mile in I felt like I was at the end of a race and needed to take a break. For some reason I was so tired and out of breath. At this point I had two options: slow down and maintain a constant pace for the next 3 miles, or make the remaining miles into an interval workout. I decided to attack each mile one at a time, making sure I was running faster each time. The first mile was a 7’03”; the next was a 6’58”, the next was a 6’54”, and the final mile was a 6’48”. I may not have accomplished my initial goal, but I listened to what my body was trying to tell me and decided to make a new goal - which thankfully I crushed!! What ever your workouts throw at you this weekend, I hope you all achieve you goal and conquer any chances the workouts may throw at you. Happy Friday!!

  • Not sure what exactly my life was like 10 years ago. However, I can guarantee that little fart jumping in the pool never guessed I’d be where I am now. All I have is because I’ve been willing to take a risk and “just jump.” DONT be afraid to be bold, chase your dreams. #10yearchallenge #kindof

  • You know what that map means??? Outside running!!! • First run of the year that is not on the treadmill. It was a little harder on the feet and I really felt it. I need to be running outside most of the time. Night running provides me more time to workout since it is so hard for me to wake up so early. Since it gets dark early, I result to treadmill running. • It was a good start and I need to build up my feet for concrete pounding.

  • Another good running clinic before and after to see the benefits of correcting technique in your run. Pic1(Top Row) ❌He is already reaching when he recovers the running pose, missing opportunity to Fall ❌Pushes back foot, knee extended, body travels up vs forward, extra stress on calf, reaching as counter response. Both actions are extra work that slow down run + increase impact. Pic2(Bottom Row) ✅Recovering pose, holding the Fig4 as he Falls, foot Pulls off ground in response, (knee bent) to get back in air to run. ✅Gravity lands lifted foot close to under body, naturally to recover pose and continue the running cycle, any speed or distance. 🔹321Run online + clinic schedule on runrx.fit🔹 #runrx

  • MSIG Trail @ Braemar Hill 15k. Unplanned race but jumped in this week. Not the best prep. Got a nasty cold and still had last weekend’s 50 in the legs. Much faster race than I wanted but managed to come in 2nd in my AG and 50/279 overall. Good work out, and nice to podium successive weekends. Great job by The Green Race team as ever. Fabulous organisation. Thanks Martin. Now starting my taper for Tarawera #run #running #runner #runnersofinstagram #trail #trailrunning #trailrace #ultratraining #salomonrunning #thegreenrace

  • Wondering WHY you can’t swim faster?Even if you’re training hard and practising ‘good technique’ , it’s simply not enough. . Great to catch up with this legend of a coach Brent from @effortlessswimming , Big goals for swimming this year so I thought I’d do my first proper freestyle clinic and get some video analysis to see where the opportunities for improvements are. What You learn from actually being able to see yourself swim and getting feedback from a swim coach is SO WORTH IT! . Key take home messages: - you’ll improve 10x faster if you seek professional coaching - Specificity is the key as every swimmer will have their weak spots in different aspects of the stroke, a YouTube video won’t cut it(even if you think you know where you’re going wrong) - It’s the little elements of technique that can make the biggest difference to improving your swim speed! . Can’t wait to put these learnings from today into practice - I love learning from other coaches as the opportunity for faster growth is so much higher. See my story for more details 👏😀👆
