Working on a little speed and turnover work and technique with the youngster today! On this drill I was looking for her to fall into her sprint “ allowing her body to choose a leg to catch her” then quickly turnover with the next leg! Lots of fun! The little things that you can do if you are a runner or a sprinter that I can shave off one second or even a full minute of your time, technique work, very important! Practice. Side note I’m old! 🙃
Speed is produced by stride length (distance covered with each stride) and stride frequency (leg turnover time, or how quickly you can get your feet on and off the ground)
Check out my story! #speedtraining#trackandfield#fastfeet#speeddrills
This throw is more fun with volume on guaranteed! Impulse off the box to delay and lengthen out the right foot timing. (Not riding the right, and getting the left foot down quicker) Working the timing here and a little pop off at the end!
Back in the hunter gatherer days, there was no such thing as a beta. All men on the earth had a purpose for being there. They were out hunting, scouting treacherous areas to make sure they were safe for the group, and fighting vicious animals. There were no snowflakes getting offended because they identify as a kitten. Because fellas like that couldn't withstand the tumultuous times. At best, they'd be back with the women and children, while the real men fought. And back then, men weren't fed soy, high fructose corn syrups, and other testosterone plummeting ingredients.
They ate whatever was around. Whatever animals, whatever vegetation, and over the years, their bodies adapted to that. If they had more carbs than fats and proteins, the generations following would be suited to that. If the groups had more fats and proteins available, the generations following would thrive off those heavy foods. And so, the alpha diet was to eat whatever was available. But, if we do that nowadays, we get soft and fluffy. Looking like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. If you really wanna feel and perform like an alpha, you've gotta eat like your ancestors did. Not just eating the same foods, But, Eating the right AMOUNT of each of the foods, Or, having your macronutrient ratio in check. Enter macro-typing. Macro-typing is finding out your type based on your food preferences, intolerances and more, and placing you in one of 3 types - Mixed, Protein, or Carb.
