With the sun setting so early nowadays, it makes me think back to those late summer nights enjoying every last moment of summer light.
Some people dream of living in a big mansion and driving a fancy car, but my dream life is to live in a tree house and ride my bicycle everywhere 😜🌴🥥.
There is a beauty in living minimally and simply that I love. It actually helps me enjoy everything I have without worrying about what I don’t have. It makes life a lot less stressful and a lot more fulfilling!
Traveling has really let me embrace minimalism. It’s challenging at times but it really makes you think about how little you really NEED vs the things you WANT. Have you ever tried minimalism/decluttering?💫

Its a sad reality that on Instagram, there are people that try and cheat the system by buying fake followers and even fake engagement (likes/comments) to try and get ahead. Every industry will always have people who will try and game the system.
Some of them even start out thinking that what they are doing is okay. But the truth is, it hurts authentic content creators that work hard to take that perfect photo and get recognition. Not only does it create unfair competition, but more importantly, it waters down and devalues the reputation and authenticity of the travel influencer community as a whole.
How do you tell if someone is buying their way to the top? - Low engagement (likes + comments divided by the number of followers)
- Comments are generic and inauthentic (for example, “cool pic! 😍”)
- Participating in lots of giveaways (these cost money for influencers to take part in, in exchange they get many followers)
- Big spikes in follower count. Organic growth is steady.
I don’t believe in public shaming because I think it does more harm than good. But be aware that it happens and don’t believe everything you see on the internet 😊
Arriving to the Craters of the Moon with about half an hour to do the hour walk meant a hurry along the winding paths. Such a cool experience amongst the steam vents and bubbling craters of this geothermal area.
I look back one year from today, about how I spent my energy on something that no longer brings joy to me and am glad a decision to let go turns out to be a good one. That asides, I know I have plans to explore other places but deep down, I feel Japan is always calling me, again and again.....
