🌲 The Earth has music for those who listen... Sit amongst the trees, close your eyes and listen to the wind as it meanders through the branches...
🌿 My goal for the oncoming weeks is to strengthen my right leg back up so I can finally take myself on a walk through the woods.. The past 4 weeks have really tested my patience, but I’m feeling positive - I managed to do a bit of yoga during the week, so it’s only up from here!

Cattle egrets at sunrise.
The egrets are back at the rookery in San Antonio. They’re at the feeding stage, where they’ll all take flight just after sunrise to go out to feed for the day. They return about an hour before sunset to work on their nests then settle in for the night.
It’s a magnificent sight to watch them take flight. There are a few “trial runs,” in which dozens of egrets fly a short distance then return. Soon, by some signal undetectable by humans, the entire flock at the rookery takes flight. Hundreds of cattle egrets fill the sky. Within a few minutes, they disappear over the horizon, to return near dusk.
When you realize your problems aren’t so big after all.
You can find people bouldering here often. There was even a makeshift zip line. 😯
Side note: is there a backpack emoji....?
